Gold Farming Guide for Diablo 3 – Easy Methods

The art of farming gold, aka gold farming, is used in many online role playing games, aka MMORPGs. Gold Farming refers to killing monsters with the sole purpose of obtaining Gold.

The best Gold farmers find the optimal ways to gain the maximum amount of gold per hour. This involves finding the best farming spots, monsters and the best Class builds for killing groups of monsters.

Item Farming is also common in MMORPGs, but due to the random drops, stats and affixes, specific Object Farming will not be possible in Diablo 3. In other words, specific items do not drop from specific monsters in Diablo 3, instead drops are random.

Best Ways To Farm Gold In Diablo 3

1. Farming Inferno – Inferno is hte hardest act in Diablo 3 and will drop the best items and gold. Powerful monsters reside in Inferno Difficulty, and Act 4 in Inferno Difficulty inhabits the most powerful monsters in Diablo 3. The gold per monster killed will be highest when killing monster in Inferno and act 4. For maximum farming efficiency you will need to have your farming character at max level with the best gear for your character’s particular Class. You will gain the most Gold per hour in Inferno Difficulty.

2. Use AoE Abilities- The Best Gold Farmers can kill hundreds of monsters every hour. Using Area of Effect Abilities you can destroy large groups of monsters in seconds. Every Class in Diablo 3 has a variety of AoE Skills that can be used on enemies. null A full list of Area of Effect Skills in Diablo 3 can be found Here.

3. Best Farming Builds- The Class Builds for Gold Farming will focus largely on Area of Effect and Multiple Target Abilities. The DPS, or damage per second, is better the more, and higher the number is. Aka 10 dps is more than 5 dps. The reason for this is that More Damage Per Second= More Monsters Killed Per Minute = More Gold Drops Per Hour. Not only that, but the optimal Gold Farming builds will ensure that your character does not run out of his or her respective Skill Resource while Farming (Eg. Fury, Spirit, Arcane Power). This will translate into wasted time, a gold farmer’s worst enemy.

4. Don’t Waste Time- It is extremely important to be efficient while Gold Farming, and you should really focus on avoiding wasted time. Less time Gold Farming directly translates into less Gold farmed per hour. One of the biggest time wasters is dying. Not only do you have to run all the way back to the farming spot, but you also have to spend Gold on repairs.

Higher level gear becomes more expensive to repair and can really diminish your Gold stash. Another time waster that you will want to avoid is constantly comparing item drops. Instead let your inventory fill up with items that you can sell to vendors for a decent amount of Gold. Basically limit the amount of runs you make back and forth to town and you will be a much more efficient Gold Farmer.

5. Gold Find Gear-

Make sure that you equip gear that gives +% to Gold Find. With this modifier you can increase the amount of dropped Gold by 2 times, 3 times or even more. The Demon Hunter Skill Ferret Companion will also increase the amount of Gold that will drop from enemies. Try to look for Gear on the Auction House that gives you +% to Gold Find.

Follow these tips and you will have tons of Gold in no time. Also see Gold & Money Guides to learn in-depth techniques on how to make Gold and Real Money.

Diablo 3 Inferno Details

In Diablo 3, there is a new super hard game mode, like Hell, but harder!

This mode is called inferno and should be a good experience for people who strive for a challenge and might not mind a few deaths.

With the recent revelation of the beginning of Inferno becoming slightly easier, did the rest become harder in compensation?

Yes, the Acts each get significantly more difficult than they were before when it was all one level.
Sorry, to clarify, the beginning of Inferno is not any easier than it was before. We’ve only made Inferno harder. (Source)

So, what is the incentive for players to fight their butt off in order to get to later Act in inferno? Just to prove because they can?
Achievements. Banner decoration. Bragging rights. … Fun?

I mean it’s like asking “Why do you play video games?”, right? Most of the time the answer is “Because I enjoy it.” and that’s going to mean something different to everyone. When you hit 60 in Diablo III, you have everything available to you in the game as far as game systems go, you’ve beaten the game at least three times already on previous difficulties… why are you still playing?

If you want to hit Inferno and then be happy to just try to farm up a perfect gear set in Act I and never progress, and never want to try to test yourself against more difficult content … well I might ask why you’re building a perfect set, but whatever, if you’re having fun more power to you.

Someone working hard to progress all the way to Inferno (Nightmare and Hell are no picnics) just to stop at Inferno and be happy with just playing Act I and never attempting to beat the game seems kind of unlikely. If you do that’s cool, but it’s a hypothetical situation that I think would be pretty rare because it just doesn’t mesh with why people are playing, or what they need to do to achieve their goals.
